I recently starting the Ketogenic diet on February 5th in hopes it would help with inflammation and infertility. I have Hashimoto’s and unexplained infertility going on 5 years. Starting out can be very daunting and overwhelming because there is so much information available through a simple google search or a question in a social media group. Often times you either get discouraged because of the backlash from questions, or there are so many contradictory sites and information that you give up.
I am so happy to have found Ray and Tracey’s group. From the beginning they were very helpful and made me feel like they really cared about my well being. They remembered little details about my story and shared in my excitement with milestone victories. When you are first starting out, there are a lot of choices and misinformed suggestions that can derail you, but they were very quick to keep me on track. With their help, I have lost 20lbs in 4 weeks and my inflammation in my joints is nearly gone. I am very thankful for their help and for creating a happy, healthy, judgment free zone for those of us looking for something better!

Hi my name is Anna, and I’ve had weight issues my whole life. It started as a teenager and when i went to college I lost 50 pounds and not the healthy way. I was starving myself. During that time, I met a boy whom I now call my husband for almost 18 years. At that time I was too thin and every pound i gained would bring me great anxiety. It took us 6 years to have a baby and i used that as an excuse to eat my house down. I gained over 90 pounds! In just 5 short months after my son was born, I got pregnant with my daughter, gained another 30 pounds.
I’m short and was at maximum capacity. I didn’t even recognize myself in the mirror. As all us Moms know, for over 11 years I put my children’s needs first and myself on the back burner. I suffered from high blood pressure, extreme anxiety and depression, my hair was falling out in hunks.
I finally reached out to my Dr about my anxiety and depression and we had to have the dreaded talk about my weight. She suggested the Keto way of eating and I was thinking nope, no, not going to do it. It’s too complicated. How can adding so much fat to your body be healthy? Hold on, I can’t have sugar? That’s not fair. I need it in my coffee. So I did lazy Keto for about a month and lost some weight, but still felt the same as I did before.
That’s when i met Ray and his wife Tracye through their Facebook page. Wow! I can’t tell you how helpful and patient they’ve been with me and all the others in our endless questions. Ray helped me get back on track after a stall in my weight loss and pointed me in the right direction to count my macros. I feel they genuinely want to help.
Since I’ve started “ketoing” the Ray way, my blood pressure has gone into a normal range and have cut my anxiety medicine in half. I just don’t need it much anymore. My energy is up and I am finally able to home school my children without losing my temper and crying everyday.
I still have a ways to go, but so far I can’t believe the impact this way of eating has done for me! Thank you, Ray and Tracye for being honest, even when we don’t want to hear it, and all your positive and encouraging feedback!!
